The Salvation Army Cedar Place is actually a woman shelter a woman and children shelter and that doesn't mean that you can't have a male child with you. The staff are definitely very helpful very understanding and they go above and beyond to try and help you. You have to do chores like you would normally at home so it's definitely more like a home not a shelter they help you pretty much with everything your meals like how to cook. And if you like it any sort of Home skills or how to keep your home tidy and any kind of things that you aren't sure about you will learn basic life skills there as well they have so many resources I suggest anybody that is on the streets to get off the streets and get some help there also it's a great stepping stone to get to your own place and not only that if you are an addict or using they can help you and direct you to a clinic to help with your addiction issues and whatnot I definitely suggest that you seriously think about going to this place as it's very hard to get a spot but when you do get one like literally obey the rules do your laundry take care of your s*** because there are plenty of people that would love to take your spot.
